Information provided by the Artist: Pat Mahony was born in 1951 in Los Angeles, California, and graduated from the University of California at Santa Barbara with a Bachelor of Arts, with honors, in 1973. Her work hovers between abstraction and representation. Saturated tones, lush abstraction, and a brevity of strokes suggest an absence of wasted motion. Her work emphasizes color, composition, and drama. Mahony’s subject matter ranges from urban scenes, river landscapes, and still life to figures. Mahony has had numerous shows over the past 40 years and her work has been collected by numerous museums, corporations, and private collections across the United States.

To pick up your artwork at the Crocker Art Museum, appointments will be available on a first-come, first-served basis for Sunday, June 9 and Monday, June 10.  A weblink to reserve your pick-up time will be sent to you upon payment of your invoice.
