M. Mark Bauer graduated from UC Davis with a MFA in 1972. Like many graduates, his art career was sidetracked due to being drafted during the Vietnam War and later working to provide for himself and his family. Bauer never lost the desire to practice art and has had the opportunity to resume art full time since 2008.
