Information provided by the Artist: Tiffany Schmierer received her MFA with an emphasis in ceramics from San Francisco State University in 2004. Her sculpture has been exhibited in regional, national, and international exhibitions. Recognitions for her art include the First Place Jurors award at America’s Clayfest, a NICHE Award for ceramic sculpture, and the Alpha Award for best in show at the California Clay Competition. Schmierer’s sculpture has also been featured in the publications Ceramics: Art & Perception, Ceramics Monthly, and New Ceramics. Her artwork is in several permanent collections including the American Museum of Ceramic Art, the Alameda County Art Collection, and the Long Beach Museum of Art. She is a Professor of Art at Skyline College in San Bruno, where she has headed the ceramics program for 17 years. Schmierer currently works out of her San Francisco studio.

To pick up your artwork at the Crocker Art Museum, appointments will be available on a first-come, first-served basis for Sunday, June 9 and Monday, June 10. A weblink to reserve your pick-up time will be sent to you upon payment of your invoice. Buyers may also ship their work at their own expense. Email artauction@crockerart.org for more information.
