Information provided by the Artist: Theodora Varnay Jones is a Hungarian-born American artist based in San Francisco. Her experiments with various disciplines, media, and techniques in printmaking, drawing, sculpture, and installations echo her reverence for process and material while evoking an open-ended range of concepts from perception to relativity, transparency, and time. She has exhibited in numerous museums, universities, and other institutions throughout the US, Europe, South America, and Japan, most recently SLAC at Stanford University and Don Soker Gallery in San Francisco. Her works are represented in permanent collections including the Crocker Art Museum, Berkeley Art Museum/Pacific Film Archive, Iris & Gerald Cantor Center for Visual Arts at Stanford University, Fresno Art Museum, Janet Turner Print Museum, Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco, Achenbach Foundation for the Graphic Arts, and Museum of Contemporary Art in San Jose, Costa Rica. Among her many awards is the Adolph and Esther Gottlieb Foundation Support Grant.

To pick up your artwork at the Crocker Art Museum, appointments will be available on a first-come, first-served basis for Sunday, June 9 and Monday, June 10.  A weblink to reserve your pick-up time will be sent to you upon payment of your invoice. Buyers may also ship their work at their own expense. Email artauction@crockerart.org for more information.
