Information provided by the Artist: Susan Tonkin Riegel, a practicing artist, was born in San Francisco and graduated from the University of California, Berkeley, where she studied with notable Bay Area Figurative painters Joan Brown and Elmer Bischoff. She received her masters of art at California State University, Sacramento and has been involved in multiple solo and group shows nationally and internationally. She was awarded fellowships as an artist-in-residence from the Salzberg Foundation in Switzerland at Villa Strauli and Leveld Konstartum in Al Hallingal, Norway, as well as the renowned de Young Museum in San Francisco. She was a highly regarded college professor and is also the founder and director of the Red Barn Studios in Granite Bay, CA. Her work is represented in the Crocker's permanent collection.

To pick up your artwork at the Crocker Art Museum, appointments will be available on Friday, June 13 and Saturday, June 14. Buyers may also ship their work at their own expense. Upon payment of the invoice, winning bidders will receive more information about artwork pick up and shipping.
