Information provided by the Artist: Paul Beckman (1909–1992) was a Sacramento artist who was an early member of the art department at California State University, Sacramento, where he served on the faculty for 22 years and taught artists such as Wayne Thiebaud and Gregory Kondos. As an artist, he won honors in the annual statement Kingsley Art Exhibit and his work is in the collection of the Crocker Art Museum.
