The Crocker Art Museum's Silent Auction features over 100 original works of art by emerging artists and some of the biggest names in the Sacramento region and beyond. Bidding for the Silent Auction will open May 9 and ends Sunday, June 8, with one artwork closing every minute starting at 1 PM PDT.

Information provided by the Artist: Marie Bergstedt has concentrated 19 years in mixed-media art, telling stories all about people. Exhibitions included six solo exhibitions and more than 100 group exhibitions across the world, receiving 28 awards. She participated in four artist residencies, among them the Lucas Artists Program at Montalvo Arts Center. Lectures and workshops include de Young Museum's Textile Arts Council, San Jose Museum of Quilts and Textiles, and Yuma Art Symposium. More than 40 publications include her works, most recently SAQA Journal Gallery Premiere, 2024. In 2019–2023, exhibits were in World Textile Art VIII Bienal, Spain; "Scythia," Ukraine; Festival of Quilts, England; TexpoART, Romania; 11th & 12th Lausanne to Beijing International Fiberart Biennales, China; ”Quo Vadis,” Latvia; and many exhibits in the United States. Invitational exhibits were at Timeless Textiles, Australia; European Cultural Centre's 2022 and 2024 Venice Art Biennials; and World Textile Art's 25th Anniversary.

To pick up your artwork at the Crocker Art Museum, appointments will be available on Friday, June 13 and Saturday, June 14. Buyers may also ship their work at their own expense. Upon payment of the invoice, winning bidders will receive more information about artwork pick up and shipping.
