Information provided by the Artist: Marie Bergstedt has concentrated in mixed-media fiber art for 19 years, telling stories all about people. Her work has been featured in six solo shows and more than 100 group exhibitions, and she has had four artist residencies and been invited to present lectures, workshops, and webinars. More than 40 publications include her works, such as Artistry in Fiber: Sculpture. From 2019 to 2023, she exhibited in the World Textile Art VIII Bienal in Madrid; the International Biennial Symposium Conference and Exhibition on Textile and Fibre Art, Scythia, in Ukraine; Festival of Quilts in England; TexpoART in Romania; 11th Lausanne to Beijing International Fiberart Biennale in China; and ”Quo Vadis” in Latvia; as well as many exhibitions in the United States. She was an invited artist for Timeless Textiles, Australia; European Cultural Centre's 2022 Venice Art Biennial; 12th LB Fiberart Biennale, China; and World Textile Art's 25th anniversary. Bergstedt will exhibit with the European Cultural Centre’s Venice Art Biennial again April through November, 2024.

To pick up your artwork at the Crocker Art Museum, appointments will be available on a first-come, first-served basis for Sunday, June 9 and Monday, June 10.  A weblink to reserve your pick-up time will be sent to you upon payment of your invoice.
