Information provided by the Artist: Lynette Cook is an acrylic painter focusing on the patterns of light and shadow created by fire escapes and balconies in the urban environment. She is a 2016 grant recipient of the Pollock-Krasner Foundation. Represented by the Andra Norris Gallery in Burlingame, CA and Christopher-Clark Fine Art in San Francisco, CA, Cook regularly exhibits with American Women Artists and the National Oil and Acrylic Painters' Society. Cook has received numerous awards for her artwork, most recently winning first place in the Landscape category in the Art Renewal Center's 17th International ARC Salon Competition. A Bay Area resident since 1982, Cook received a master of fine arts degree at the California College of the Arts.
