Information provided by the Artist: Luis Martinez, MD, MPH, is a contemporary realist painter, neurologist, and Atlantic Fellow for Equity in Brain Health at the Global Brain Health Institute. A native of Bogota, Colombia, his colorful paintings pay homage to his career as a neFurologist. His distinctive personal style expresses an amalgamation of brain science and visual art. Martinez’s artwork has been exhibited in Colombia, Argentina, and the U.S., including “Openness” at Evolved Art Gallery, San Francisco, “Magic Realism” at UCSF Gallery190, and Second Saturdays Natomas Gallery in Sacramento, California. As a neurologist, he wants to promote art in different expressions as a therapeutic tool to improve the quality of life of people with neurodegenerative diseases.

To pick up your artwork at the Crocker Art Museum, appointments will be available on a first-come, first-served basis for Sunday, June 9 and Monday, June 10. A weblink to reserve your pick-up time will be sent to you upon payment of your invoice. Buyers may also ship their work at their own expense. Email artauction@crockerart.org for more information.
