The Crocker Art Museum's Silent Auction features over 100 original works of art by emerging artists and some of the biggest names in the Sacramento region and beyond. Bidding for the Silent Auction will open May 9 and ends Sunday, June 8, with one artwork closing every minute starting at 1 PM PDT.

Information provided by the Artist: Lisa Reinertson is known for both life-size figurative ceramic sculptures and large-scale public sculptures cast in bronze. Lisa completed her MFA at UC Davis in 1984, studying with Robert Arneson and Manuel Neri. She has taught at several universities, including the San Francisco Art Institute, UC Berkeley, CSU Chico, and Santa Clara University. Her work has been exhibited at galleries and museums both nationally and internationally, including the Crocker Art Museum; the American Museum of Ceramic Art; the Cantor Arts Center; the National Museum of Ceramic Art, Maryland; and the Museo Internationale della Ceramica, Faenza, Italy. Reinertson has completed over 20 public commissions in bronze, including three Martin Luther King Memorial sculptures, the Cesar Chavez Memorial in downtown Sacramento, Neptune’s Daughter in Benicia, CA, and Joan Didion for the Sacramento Library. Reinertson's most recent solo exhibition was last year at the Sakata Gallery in Sacramento, and her work is represented in the Crocker's permanent collection.

To pick up your artwork at the Crocker Art Museum, appointments will be available on Friday, June 13 and Saturday, June 14. Buyers may also ship their work at their own expense. Upon payment of the invoice, winning bidders will receive more information about artwork pick up and shipping.
