Information provided by the Artist: I am 65 years old. Like most artists, I suppose, I don’t differentiate between the time I spend making art and the time I spend attending to the rest of my life. It is all of a piece. Consequently, my art must necessarily reflect my own evolution as a person, my aging, my challenges, the arc of my life. The constancy lies in my inquiry, my quest for understanding. Over the years, my curiosity has led me to explore many media and techniques, from paint to wool, drawing to beading. Each medium presented its own challenges. My commitment was to examine each one of them with a respect for those artisans and artists who perfected their use in the past. Then perhaps I could integrate all of them in a way that was new, in a way that was my own.
