The Crocker Art Museum's Silent Auction features over 100 original works of art by emerging artists and some of the biggest names in the Sacramento region and beyond. Bidding for the Silent Auction will open May 9 and ends Sunday, June 8, with one artwork closing every minute starting at 1 PM PDT.

Information provided by the Artist: John Krempel, originally from Ohio, is an abstract expressionist and impressionist artist based in Sacramento, California. His work spans mixed media, painting, and digital photography, drawing inspiration from his experiences in New York City, San Francisco, and Sacramento, where he has resided since 2000. Krempel holds a bachelor of arts and a master's in counseling and education, which inform his art’s psychological depth. Influenced by the mid-20th-century San Francisco Abstract Expressionist movement, his pieces often reflect natural and urban landscapes. Krempel has participated in over 100 art shows since 2004, with his work featured in private and public collections worldwide. He was also featured on Rob on the Road’s Amazing Artists episode and in Shasta Smith’s FYI network’s Red Hot Design.

To pick up your artwork at the Crocker Art Museum, appointments will be available on Friday, June 13 and Saturday, June 14. Buyers may also ship their work at their own expense. Upon payment of the invoice, winning bidders will receive more information about artwork pick up and shipping.
