Information provided by the Artist: Brenda Louie, a visual artist and art educator, earned her MFA from Stanford University in 1993. While deeply rooted in her diaspora experience, Louie’s work translates her personal history into a universally felt visual language. Exhibited nationally and internationally, her large-scale artworks are held in public and private collections, including the Crocker Art Museum, the Zhejiang Art Museum, the City of Hangzhou Opera House in P.R. China, UC Davis, and the Wickland Oil Company in California.
