Adam Vermeire is an artist based in Sacramento. He is an Adjunct Professor at Sacramento City College in the Fine Arts Department. Vermeire received a BFA from the University of Colorado, a second BFA from San Francisco Art Institute, and his MFA from Mills College in Oakland, California. His current work examines escapism in the virtual landscapes of violent video games. However, he takes on the character of a pacifist and chooses to search for beauty instead of violence. This leads to a vast array of exploration.
