Information provided by the Artist: Northern California-based artist Tom McGee has acquired his technique and skills over the last five decades. However, he has developed his process of painting in the egg tempera medium within the last four years. The evolving nature of his work is a joining of his deep fascination with form, textures, and linear mark-making. Those are the essential elements of his representational paintings. The subjects that compel him range from simple objects, memories, environments, or people caught in a moment. Tom is the artist in residence at the Cazadero Music Camp in a beautiful redwood forest in northern California.
