The Crocker Art Museum's Silent Auction features over 100 original works of art by emerging artists and some of the biggest names in the Sacramento region and beyond. Bidding for the Silent Auction will open May 9 and ends Sunday, June 8, with one artwork closing every minute starting at 1 PM PDT.

Information provided by the Artist: Ray Beldner’s mixed-media art has been exhibited internationally and is found in many prestigious public collections, including the Smithsonian's National Portrait Gallery and the Federal Reserve Board, Washington, DC; Oakland Museum; San Jose Museum; di Rosa Preserve; and 21C Museum, among others. The work is in several corporate collections: Saks Fifth Ave; Bain Capital; President Hotel, NY; Royal Sonesta Chicago; and Candler Hotel in Atlanta. Born in San Francisco, Beldner received a BFA from SFAI and an MFA from Mills College. He has received numerous awards and fellowships and has taught art at SFAI, CCA, UC Berkeley, and UC Santa Cruz. His work was reviewed in publications including Art in America, Art on Paper, the Boston Globe, the Los Angeles Times, the Village Voice, and The New York Times. Recent catalogues with his work include: Inventing Marcel Duchamp: The Dynamics of Portraiture (MIT Press, 2009).

To pick up your artwork at the Crocker Art Museum, appointments will be available on Friday, June 13 and Saturday, June 14. Buyers may also ship their work at their own expense. Upon payment of the invoice, winning bidders will receive more information about artwork pick up and shipping.
