The Crocker Art Museum's Silent Auction features over 100 original works of art by emerging artists and some of the biggest names in the Sacramento region and beyond. Bidding for the Silent Auction will open May 12 and ends Sunday, June 7, with one artwork closing every minute starting at 1 PM PDT.

Information provided by the Artist: Mike is an image maker using traditional blacksmithing in his sculpture. Recently he has worked with concrete, tar, and steel. His work is about the image, the human figure, the relationships of form, and the complexities of the human condition. He is part of permanent museum collections such as the Renwick Gallery at the Smithsonian, the Illinois State Art Museum, the Arkansas Art Center. and the Crocker Art Museum. His signature blacksmithing commissions include the ironwork at the Hyatt Regency Hotel and the Embassy Suites Hotel. He also has received commissions such as the Urban League Gates, Sacramento, as well as a large railing for the Trinity Parkway Bridge in Stockton California. He has been commissioned for several large outdoor sculptures in the Sacramento area. Mike has lived in Granite Bay for over thirty five years. He is a professor emeritus where he taught for thirty years at California State University, Sacramento.

To pick up your artwork at the Crocker Art Museum, appointments will be available on Sunday, June 14 and Monday, June 15. Buyers may also ship their work at their own expense. Upon payment of the invoice, winning bidders will receive more information about artwork pick up and shipping.
