Information provided by the Artist: Barbara Takenaga is an abstract painter living and working in New York. Awarded a Guggenheim Fellowship in 2020, she was recently commissioned by the New York MTA to create a permanent installation of mosaic and glass at the White Plains station. Exhibitions include MASS MoCA, the Neuberger Museum, and Bemis. Collections include the Crocker Art Museum, the San Jose Art Museum, Williams College, Yale University Art Gallery, the National Academy of Design, among others. She is represented by DC Moore Gallery in NYC.
