Information provided by the Artist: Dear Creatures does not refer to the sentimental sense of "dear." Instead, it refers to the dear creatures who live on our shared earth. Adding found objects to her animal paintings creates a very tactile surface (in both senses of "feeling,” touch and emotion) for the viewer to experience then celebrate animals.
